"Be you man or beast this is a journey in the life of wonderful loyal friend and partner, a dog called Max. Max and I served in the U.S Army in the drug unit putting those "bad ones" in jail etc. Max at 19 today still works part time as a drug dog in N.Z.

"I was speaking to Sonja recently about my two cats, Jade (9½ years old) whom I have had since she was about 7 weeks old, and Honey (12 ½ yrs old) who we adopted at 7 years. Honey came from a rural property where there were 11 cats, 6 dogs and various birds.

Honey was not an attractive animal she was suffering from excema, had rough fur, and a scabby spine with a bald chin from excessive marking. Honey and Jade did not make friends as I expected, and over the last two years or so, Honey had become a bully. She is bigger than Jade, and did not know how to play, ‘talk’, ask to be let in or out, she was timid, and always slept with her back against a wall.

I am thrilled to say Honey has calmed down considerably, and now has fur on her chin. She is sleeping in the middle of the floor, even on her back sometimes. I ended up treating both cats, as Jade had become so nervous and anticipating aggression she was growling much of the time. Jade has since returned to our bed and will stay if Honey appears, and there is a lot less fur on the floors!

After nearly seven years, Honey now ‘talks’ and has started to play. She is older, but now looks and acts much younger than when we got her. We are all much happier, and Honey is staying."
